Hi, my name is Kerry and I am the Designer/Creator of Vintage Handmaiden based at my home studio in Dunedin, NZ.
I love to sew! It is in my DNA. I also love to use sustainable components whenever possible. I sew and weld a hammer with equal gusto!! My love of creating means my products are ever changing. Please check my social media pages for my current projects.

As a retiree of nearly five years I am thoroughly enjoying life in Waikouaiti and all it has to offer. Great community, great climate and a fabulous beach. What’s not to love!
My husband, Grant, and I are blessed with two beautiful granddaughters aged 5 and
2 1/2. Unfortunately for us they live in Taranaki so visits are few and far between but I do love sewing for them.
At the start of the very first lockdown in 2020 I purchased a sewing machine online(!)
I tentatively began making dolls clothes, soft toys and party dresses for our granddaughters. Suddenly people were asking me to make items specific to their requirements. I now concentrate mainly on making bags of all shapes and sizes: elegant and functional handbags, totes, kiddies backpacks, purses etc.,many of which are pre-ordered.
