Just a little about how I started bookbinding.
About 20 years ago I started doing night classes in Oamaru once a month, then once a week for awhile. Travel to Oamaru is about 1 1/2 hours our classes were from 7pm until 9pm, classes were with Michael O’Brien who is a Master bookbinder. At the time I was working full time at night time so would have to take the time off work to attend these classes.
I didn’t have a lot of spare time to actually bind books at the time with two children and a full time job. Jump ahead 20 years and things have changed, kids have left home, I lost my recent job which gave me plenty of time to start binding again.
I’m looking forward to seeing you all at our markets and events.
